Dr. Neil Calder is Director of Engineered Capabilities, a consultancy providing specialist advice in advanced manufacturing, composites, additive manufacturing, and digital engineering. He has more than 30 years’ experience across aerospace, automotive, and advanced materials, including senior roles at BAE Systems and the NorthWest Aerospace Alliance.
Since founding Engineered Capabilities in 2006, Neil has supported UK and European organisations in building strategies, accessing new technologies, and securing innovation funding. He also advises government bodies through the assessment and monitoring of multi-billion-pound R&D programmes and is Technical Editor of Aerospace Manufacturing.
