Chris SkinnerOwens Corning VP of Strategic Marketing and R&D for Composites
Dr. Chris Skinner is the Vice President of Strategic Marketing and R&D for
Owens Corning’s Composites business.

He is responsible for developing and executing near and long-term strategy,
focused on creating growth in Building, Construction, Infrastructure and
Renewable Energy. Chris and his team lead the product lines, brand and
customer experience, commercial excellence, and strategy in partnership
with commercial & manufacturing teams. He is also responsible for the
global Research and Development team for Composites business. He sits
on the board of JEC and has held a major role on the Board of the American
Composites Association leading the definition of strategy for the
association.

Prior to his current role, Chris served as Director of Front-End Innovation
from 2016 to 2018. Previously, Chris was the Director of Product Platforms
for the Composites business from 2013 to 2016. He joined Owens Corning
in 2009 and worked in a range of technology and marketing roles within the
Composites business including the global Technical Fabrics business and
the Engineered Solutions business.

Before working at Owens Corning, he held the role of VP of Strategic
Marketing for the Rhodia Polyamide Business based in Lyon, France. He
also worked for more than 10 years at ICI / Huntsman Polyurethanes in
various international assignments in technology and marketing in the U.K.,
Belgium, and Germany in business units including Composites, Elastomers,
and the Automotive market.

Chris graduated from the Open University Business School with an MBA in
2001. He holds a PhD and BSc (Hons) in chemistry from the University of
Durham, UK.
