Rob Blackburn is Global Customer Engineering Director at Syensqo, with over 20 years’ experience in composites technology development, application engineering, and customer-focused innovation. He has held senior roles at Solvay and Cytec, leading global teams in application research, engineering, and manufacturing scale-up, and began his career as an R&D Engineer at GKN Aerospace. Rob combines deep technical expertise with a passion for customer engagement and people development, and in 2024 was elected a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
